OK!!!! Let's report our finding and conclusions for Angelstep and compare with Cyberleads. - Name: Cyberleads - What:Monthly newsletter of newly funded startups - Results: ~1000 unique visitors, 10 paying subscribers. - Name: Angelstep - What: Monthly newletter of active investors - Launch: ProductHunt (75 upvotes), Facebook Groups, Slack Groups, Reddit, HackerNews - Results: ~600 unique visitors from those distribution channels, many messages and interest, but no subscribers. I think it's a no brainer, it's a no no. All people interested just wanted thousands of entries to blast cold emails at. Or even better, they just wanted it for free. After Cyberleads' launch, I have a new bar as to what a good launch looks like, and by it's standards, since they are very similar products with the same model and pricing and audience, I would expect at least 2-3 subscribers. I got 0. Nil. Zip. I like it! I think I got carried away anyway. Why the fuck am I building new products? I have two. GitGardener and Cyberleads. I'm good. Tomorrow I'll start thinking about how to grow both of them.
