February 24th, 2021 | True work

The last few days I didn't have much to do. I started working on things for the future.

When running an online business, some days you work for a while and you are done.

Meaning, you have handled everything urgent that had to be handled. Customer support emails. Bugs. Invoices for customers. Paperwork for your accountant. Reached inbox zero on all platforms.

But that doesn't mean you are done for the day. This is where your day begins.

That wasn't work. That was slavery.

True work starts when you have nothing else urgent to do.

True work is when you are able to think calmly and project yourself into the future. Visualize where you want to go, and start working towards that.

If you feel like your day is full of urgent tasks, maybe you are doing something wrong.
