December 14th, 2021 | Real funnels

People have a tendency to "systematize" things.

Oh, I will build this funnel and split test here and voila! I will get one new customer per week!

I am guilty for this too.

However, I'm seeing more and more that funnels don't work like that in the real world.

People don't land on your website and wip out their credit card.

They see your website. Then they forget about it.

Two months later they might see it again. And they will forget about it again.

Six months later they have a random conversation with a friend and they are reminded of it.

One month later they see it again and they go to your website to subscribe.

People don't act like robots.

And that makes your actions and your results distant from each other.

Which can make you feel lost and confuse what is working and what is not.

The easiest solution is that once you find something that's working, keep doing that thing until it no longer works.

While trying other things in the meantime, because you never want to have all of your eggs in one basket.

What dread. Entrepreneurship is fucking hard.
