Had a chat in Italian, for the very first time, with my friend and ex-flatmate from Milan.

We spoke for two hours non stop, with only one switch to English for a word I didn't understand.

I was so happy. Especially when they called me fluent.

Learning a new language is fucking hard. But that's what makes it worth it.
