Being transparent when things are going great is fucking BULLSHIT. It’s nearly bragging, pretending to keeping it real. I fell into the trap of not posting and keeping you in the loop when things were not going great for me. Now I am back!

The truth is I haven’t stopped shipping. After launching @telemonetize, it went viral, got retweeted by people like Pieter Levels and got thousands of visitors. After all this hype and traffic I got………. 0 PAYING CUSTOMERS!

I stayed on track and talked to many of my free users in the chatbox of the website. The conclusion I got to was that my potential customers were Crypto Signal Channel Admins and that it was a considerable-in-size market

If you don’t know what that is, like I didn’t, it is basically some channels on Telegram that notify you about the changes in the value of cryptocurrencies, and help you decide whether to buy cryptocurrencies or sell your cryptocurrencies. 8/10 times they charge in monthly in BTC

So then, I quickly created a spinoff product focusing on their needs, enabling crypto payments and launched it in that market also. Result: 0 customers. It is a ‘good to have’ product but out of the 30 admins I talked to, 3 signed up for a trial and no one stayed after that

In the meantime, GitHub Gardener’s MRR is going down and it is at $40/mo having about 10 free trials at any given time, but low conversion rate
